In 1986 & 1987 Skip was very active with the South Puget Sound College welding department. He organized and developed the college's first welding club, was responsible for the planning and promotion of the first annual road rally, "Tour de Olympia," and assisted with school's fundraising program. He also founded and was president of the racing team. This team was the first college team in the United States to win a SCCA GT-1 championship. During this time Skip was also the District Public Relations Representative for the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America.

1996 to Present - Proformance Racing School driving instructor. Professional driver coach. Both classroom and trackside. Fully licensed with expert automotive technical aid and consultation. High performance driving and competition instruction and licensing involving the skills of collision avoidance to slalom and 10-point braking. Also responsible for the development and instruction of emergency driving tactics with regard to body guard kidnap aversion driving.
